🎮 Localisation Engineer | Unity & C# | Arabic-First | Riyadh

💰 Competitive base + full relocation to Riyadh (confirm band)

📍 Riyadh-based, office-based, relocation supported

🧭 Part of a new localisation engineering function, built from scratch

Most localisation engineers slot into a pipeline someone else built. This role builds it.

There are hundreds of millions of Arabic-speaking players, and the games industry still treats their language as an afterthought: bolted on late, rendered badly, culturally flat.

One of the biggest names in global gaming is done with that. They’re standing up a dedicated Arabic-first localisation capability from the ground up, and they need the engineer to build it.

We’ve partnered with a fast-growing Riyadh studio, backed by a major global gaming group, to hire their founding Localisation Engineer. You’ll work hand in hand with Unity and the game teams to make Arabic a first-class citizen in their titles, not a patch.

You’ll own:

🛠 The localisation engineering stack in Unity, built from zero

🔤 Arabic text done properly: RTL and bidirectional handling, shaping, ligatures, font fallback, text expansion, layout mirroring

⚙️ The pipeline: string extraction and management, integration back into builds, automated checks and pseudo-localisation

🧪 Quality at scale, working closely with QA to catch issues early

🤝 The tooling and standards the game teams build against

This is a hands-on build, not an oversight role.

You’ll be in the code every day. You’ll design the systems, write them, and prove they hold up under real production load. Strong engineering fundamentals and genuine Unity depth are non-negotiable here.

We’re looking for someone who:

→ Is a strong Unity and C# engineer with shipped games behind them

→ Writes real, production-grade code and can prove it live, not just whiteboard it

→ Has built or owned localisation, text rendering or tooling systems, RTL and Arabic a major plus

→ Understands text pipelines, build integration, automation and QA collaboration

→ Thinks about performance, memory and scale, not just getting it working

→ Is ready to relocate to Riyadh and build something from the ground up

Arabic language skills and prior MENA localisation experience are a strong plus, not a must.

What’s on offer:

💰 Competitive base (band to confirm)

🌍 Full relocation support to Riyadh and iqama sponsorship

🏗 A genuine zero-to-one build, your systems, your standards

🚀 Backing from one of the biggest names in global gaming

⚡ A small, fast-moving team with real ownership

The mission is set and the backing is real. You’ll decide how Arabic localisation gets engineered here.
