Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and accurate IEP Certified Arabic Interpreter to provide interpretation services in a variety of settings, including but not limited to:

Educational conferences
Community meetings
Parent Teacher Conferences
IEP & 504 Meeting
Teacher Phone Calls

Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and impartial interpretation between Arabic and English.
Interpret consecutively and simultaneously as required.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant materials.
Travel to various locations in and around Hinsdale as needed.
Manage scheduling and reporting of assignments.

Qualifications:

Native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English.
Proven experience as a professional interpreter.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of cultural nuances.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Certification or training in interpretation is a plus.
Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in educational interpreting
Familiarity with interpreting software and technology.
Knowledge of terminology specific to various industries.
