We are currently seeking professional Spanish Interpreters located in or near Elkton, Maryland (Eastern Shore area) to provide in-person interpreting services for a variety of assignments.
Assignments may take place in medical facilities, government offices, and community service settings, supporting effective communication between Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals and English-speaking providers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and professional in-person interpretation between English and Spanish
- Facilitate communication in medical, government, and community-based environments
- Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and strict confidentiality
- Follow interpreter ethics and industry best practices (primarily consecutive interpreting)
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Must be located in or able to travel to Elkton and the surrounding Eastern Shore areas
- Reliable transportation is required
- Availability during weekday business hours (EST) is highly preferred
- Prior professional interpreting experience preferred (medical or community is a plus)
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and interpreter ethics

- Freelance/independent contractor (1099) opportunity
- Assignments are fully in-person (no remote work)
