Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled Haitian Creole On-Site Interpreters to facilitate in-person communication between Haitian Creole-speaking individuals and English-speaking counterparts. The ideal candidates will have strong command of both languages and the ability to convey messages accurately and effectively in diverse face-to-face settings. This role is essential in ensuring clear communication within healthcare, legal, and community service environments.
We are currently hiring interpreters for Olathe, KS.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person interpretation services during meetings, appointments, interviews, and events.
- Accurately convey spoken messages between Haitian Creole and English while preserving meaning, tone, and context.
- Collaborate with professionals such as healthcare providers, legal representatives, social workers, educators, and others.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards.
- Remain knowledgeable about cultural nuances and language developments to ensure accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in both Haitian Creole and English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong face-to-face interpretation skills across various professional settings.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong linguistic knowledge and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Previous interpreting experience preferred but not required.
