Demand Planner, South Korea

Position Overview
This role is accountable for the achievement of timely and accurate demand plans for all finished goods and accessories sold across Korea. The role will be accountable for preparing and leading effective market S&OP’s and participating in regional S&OP’s. This candidate will be a strong gatekeeper for decisions involving sales forecasts on SKU level, being able to challenge the reasonability of forecast. Incorporate promotional and NPD planning, including cannibalization and consequential adjustments.
Partner closely with the Sales Planning team to ensure strong alignment between Sales Forecast and Demand Plan, translating commercial strategies and channel-level drivers into executable and reliable demand plans.
Act as a key enabler to improve forecast quality by ensuring that demand plans reflect realistic assumptions, historical performance, and forward-looking business drivers.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
- Build Demand Forecasting process in Korea by channel for baseline, promo and NPD SKUs,
ensuring alignment with Sales Forecast, channel strategies, and commercial drivers (pricing, promotion, distribution expansion), and creating realistic assumptions/building blocks for a forecast model with sensitivities to market swings and strategies
- Aggregate and reconcile demand plans by channel and retailer to develop a Korea demand forecast at SKU and customer level, ensuring strong alignment with Sales Forecast and highlighting gaps, risks, and opportunities
- Lead forecasting activity with the sales teams on finished goods. Lead parts and accessories forecast together with Sales and Operations team.
- Lead the Korea S&OP process as a cross-functional alignment and decision-making forum,
ensuring alignment between Sales, Demand, and Financial plans, and driving actions to close identified gaps
- Finetune an active review process of historical run rates and biases to continuously improve forecast accuracy
- Analyze Demand forecast accuracy to identify gap and opportunity for future forecast
- Provide analysis of the difference between financial and demand forecasts
- Provide SKU Analysis and Trends, including NPD sales performance and work closely with Sales team to close the gap
- Partner with APAC planning to deploy best practice tools, systems, processes, and ways of working,
while ensuring localization to Korea market dynamics and business strategy

Qualifications
- 3 ~5 years experience in Demand Planning
- Experience leading S&OP’s, contribute to PSI and inventory review through preparation and execution
- Experience with managing inventory
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and sensitive to numbers
- Knowledge in supply chain tools including Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good understanding of demand planning processes and practices in Korea
- Clear communicator and collaborator with multiple internal and external stakeholders. English language proficiency is a plus
