PIF is seeking a candidate to join MENA Investments team, the role is focused on deploying capital into strategically critical healthcare sub-sectors (digital health, pharma and logistic) while supporting the development of national champions and advancing sector localization, resilience, and long-term value creation.
The position requires an integrated approach across investment execution, sector strategy, and portfolio performance, with direct exposure to senior decision-making forums.
Core Responsibilities
Investment Execution & Capital Deployment
- Support the end-to-end evaluation and execution of investments across M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
- Lead analytical workstreams including financial modeling, valuation, and structuring considerations
- Coordinate multi-stream due diligence processes and synthesize findings into clear investment implications
- Assess risk-return profiles and alignment with strategic and national priorities
Sector Strategy & Investment Thesis Formation
- Develop institutional-quality investment theses across priority healthcare verticals (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, CDMO, digital health, logistics)
- Translate macro trends and policy direction into actionable investment opportunities
- Articulate clear points of view on sector positioning, competitive dynamics, and long-term value pools
Portfolio Oversight & Value Creation
- Support active management of portfolio companies through performance monitoring, strategic reviews, and value creation initiatives
- Assess delivery against investment case, KPIs, and national objectives
- Contribute to key initiatives including scaling platforms, enabling localization, and driving operational improvements
Institutional Alignment & Cross-Functional Integration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, governance, and strategy to ensure disciplined execution and alignment
- Facilitate coordination across functions to support both transaction processes and portfolio initiatives
Investment Committee & Senior Stakeholder Support
- Prepare and deliver high-quality materials for senior leadership, Investment Committee, and Board-level discussions
- Support the formulation of investment recommendations and conclusions
- Actively contribute to internal debates and decision-making processes, ensuring analytical rigor and clarity of thought
Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, or principal investments.
- Strong grounding in valuation, financial modeling, and transaction execution.
- Exposure to healthcare and life sciences sectors is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to connect strategic context with investment decision-making.
- Experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders and investment committees.
- High degree of ownership, judgment, and execution discipline.
