WE ARE HIRING: Greek Interpreters for JUNE NYC Elections 2026!
Are you a professional interpreter fluent in Greek and passionate about supporting your community? thebigword is looking for experienced interpreters in New York City to assist during the upcoming elections on 23rd June 2026!
What You’ll Do:
- Support non-English speakers at polling sites across NYC Boroughs
- Provide professional interpretation between voters and poll workers, including translating ballots and answering questions
- Assist with site setup, breakdown, and administrative tasks
- Ensure a nonpartisan, welcoming environment
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Proven interpreting experience (community/public service preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Available for Election Day (5:00am–10:00pm) and Early Voting days
- Willing to complete mandatory training
