Role Description The Chinese Mandarin Operational Language Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Hawaii. In this position, the analyst will conduct advanced listening, reading, and translation of Mandarin Chinese audio, written, and digital materials into clear, accurate English. Day-to-day tasks include language analysis, summarization, and transcription of operationally relevant information, as well as quality review of linguistic products for accuracy and context. The analyst will work closely with intelligence and operations teams to provide culturally informed interpretations, assist in reporting, and support ongoing missions. Responsibilities also include adhering to all security and compliance requirements, maintaining language proficiency, and participating in training to stay current with evolving terminology and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Top Secret/SCI Security clearance with at least a CI Polygraph, willing to obtain a Full Scope Polygraph.
- Experience with translation, transcription, and interpretation of Mandarin Chinese materials into clear, accurate English.
- Background in intelligence analysis, or related operational language support.
