We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Field Application Engineer to join our Network & Test Solutions Team in Vector Korea. In this role, you will work closely with customers to support the adoption of software-driven development and validation approaches, including virtualization, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing (CI/CT), and DevOps-based validation workflows. You will help automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers modernize their development and testing environments by leveraging Vector's solutions for virtual ECUs, automated validation, and scalable test infrastructure. Your Tasks
- Virtual Validation (vECU & SIL): Support the adoption of virtual ECUs, Software-in-the-Loop, and other virtualization-based development and validation approaches
- CI/CT & DevOps Integration: Help customers establish CI/CT workflows and integrate Vector solutions into automated, DevOps-based validation environments
- Test Automation & Validation Engineering: Design scalable and repeatable validation automation concepts and promote shift-left testing for earlier defect detection
- Customer Consulting & Technical Support: Understand customer requirements and provide technical consulting and troubleshooting throughout their development and validation projects
- Solution Demonstration, PoC & Training: Develop technical training materials and Conduct product demonstrations, evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, technical workshops, and customer training
- Local & Global Collaboration: Gather customer and market requirements, communicate feedback to relevant product teams, and collaborate with local and global Vector experts
- Technology & Market Awareness: Stay current with developments in SDV, virtualization, CI/CT, DevOps, cloud-based validation, and automotive software engineering
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in automotive software development, testing, validation, application engineering, or related technical fields
- Experience with virtualization technologies, including vECU, SIL, and virtual validation environments
- Experience with CI/CT, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Programming or scripting experience in Python, CAPL, C/C++, or similar languages
- Understanding of automotive communication and diagnostics (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle, validation methodologies, and Agile development
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in customer-facing, cross-functional environments
- Native Korean and good English communication skills
- Valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience
- Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANoe4SW, CANoe Server Edition, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio, CANape, VT System, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive AUTOSAR is a plus
- Experience with automated validation pipelines, test automation, and software quality assurance is a plus
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other virtualization/containerization technologies is a plus
- Experience with cloud-based, distributed, or scalable validation environments is a plus
- Experience supporting vECU, SIL, HIL, or automated validation projects is a plus
- Understanding of Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architectures and virtual development workflows is a plus
