Role Description This is a remote, contract role for US-based Portuguese Speakers supporting DatoviaPlayHouse’s multilingual projects. Day-to-day tasks include performing high-quality translation and localization between Portuguese and English, reviewing and refining language output for accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance, and supporting transcription or data annotation assignments as needed. The role may involve collaborating with project managers and other language professionals to meet deadlines, adhere to style guides, and comply with client-specific requirements. Contractors are expected to follow provided workflows, use platform tools, and maintain strict data privacy and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong command of Portuguese and English, with excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Experience with translation, localization, or transcription, preferably in a professional or freelance setting.
- Ability to follow linguistic guidelines, apply consistent style and terminology, and review content for accuracy and clarity.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms used for content review, data annotation, or AI-supported workflows.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and commitment to quality and confidentiality.
- Prior work with AI data services, linguistic QA, or multilingual digital operations is a plus.
- Relevant education or training in languages, translation, communications, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
