In-Person Interpreter (Multiple Languages)
Location: Rochester, NY
Languages Needed: ASL, Ukrainian, Russian, Korean, Dari , Somali, Swahili, Karen, Burmese, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Turkish, Kinyarwanda, Haitian-Creole, Tigrinya, French, Spanish, Nepali

Position Details
- Payment Frequency: Monthly (Note: We do not withhold taxes; a 1099 form will be provided for tax reporting purposes.)
- Job Type: Contract
- Work Schedule: Flexible—you choose which assignments to accept to fit your schedule.
Job Responsibilities
As an in-person interpreter, you will:
- Provide accurate and professional interpretation services at scheduled appointments.
- Assist in medical, educational, legal, and government settings.
- Ensure effective communication between clients and service providers.
- Adhere to confidentiality and professionalism standards. (HIPAA)
Key Information
- Location: All appointments are in-person and based in Rochester, NY. Remote options are not available unless explicitly stated.
- Mileage: No reimbursement for travel within Monroe County. Mileage for appointments outside Monroe County may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
- Dress Code: Business casual attire is required for all appointments.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Be fluent in both English and one or more of the listed languages (oral and written).
- Be available to attend scheduled in-person appointments in Rochester, NY.
- Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
- Have previous interpreting experience (preferred but not required).
