We are seeking a detail-oriented English Translator & Localization Specialist to join our growing network of freelance language professionals. This is a remote opportunity ideal for individuals who are passionate about languages, cultural adaptation, and delivering high-quality translations.
Responsibilities
- Translate content between English and Indonesian while maintaining accuracy, tone, and context.
- Localize content to ensure cultural appropriateness for the target audience.
- Proofread and edit translated materials for grammar, consistency, and quality.
- Follow client instructions, terminology preferences, and style guides.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high linguistic standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and reviewers when required.
- Utilize CAT tools such as Trados Studio, MemoQ, or similar translation software when applicable.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English and Indonesian.
- Previous experience in translation, localization, editing, or proofreading.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Familiarity with CAT tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
- Professional communication skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of client content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, English, Languages, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience in specialized fields such as marketing, business, legal, technical, or multimedia content.
- Experience working with translation agencies or localization projects.
