About
I have a Master’s degree in Translation & Localization Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies along with business level fluency in Japanese, and more than 4 years of experience as a localization project manager for Trek Bicycle.
In my role as a project manager, I handled the global readiness of content from videos to product manuals for our 20+ locales. I maintained communications between vendors and internal teams across the globe to ensure deadlines and quality standards were met, including working with the Japan team in their native language. To keep our project queue on track, I assisted with document cleanup, triaging, and assigning tasks to the team on top of managing the progress of my own project assignments. I also spearheaded tracking financial goals, which led to thousands in cost savings from finding lower cost workflows based on each project’s needs. This included working with machine translation and post editing, and taking in reviewer feedback to improve the language model. Additionally, I performed source quality review, maintained the translation memory in MemoQ, assisted in the hiring of new team members, and communicated the localization team’s data to internal stakeholders.
