Regions is seeking an interpreter fluent in Oromo/Amharic to assist our patients in our hospital and clinics.This position will be part time, Monday-Friday, picking up shifts when available.
The interpreter will be responsible for facilitating daily cross-cultural communication between patients, family members and others, along with medical providers and staff. The interpreter will serve as a cultural and language resource person. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
40 hours of interpreter training required or within 6 months of hire for languages of lesser diffusion
Annual completion of department-required continuing education
Active Status on the Minnesota Spoken Language Health Care Interpreter Roster
Preferred Qualifications:
40 hours of interpreter training completed prior to hire preferred. Some general college preferred, especially programs that focus on interpreting and translation skills
Two years interpreting experience including one year medical interpreting experience preferred
