Our client, a global retailer, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team managing the development of creative deliverables translated into multiple languages for use across North America. For this role they are requiring fluency in French, and ideally intermediate Spanish. Copy translation will be provided via an external vendor, but the client would like an added layer of review by the Project Manager.
The Project Manager will work closely with marketing and creative teams to ensure smooth execution of localization marketing initiatives.
This role is 40 hours per week remote for 6 months with potential to extend.
Responsibilities:
- Manage development of local marketing deliverables including social, email, web, and retail assets
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand project requirements
- Create, set expectations, and maintain detailed project schedules
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of deliverables
- Handle quality control on large scale translation projects
- Provide concise and timely project milestones, including risks to all associated stakeholders
- Initiate and work closely with creative organization, translation service and marketing channel owners to produce translated content
- Coordinate the translation and review processes to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness; ensure the accuracy of the translations
- Create and adhere to localization standards and glossaries to maintain consistency across all projects
- Manage localization budgets effectively, while tracking project expenses.
Requirements:
- Preference: Fluent in French (French Canadian is even better!) and Intermediate Spanish
- 1-3 years project management experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment
- Experience with localization management
- Understanding of translation best practices, industry requirements & trends
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software, including localization tools and content management systems
- Understanding of key e-commerce marketing concepts
- Familiarity with marketing channels and content deliverables
- Superior attention to detail
