Deeoma Interpreting Services is seeking dependable and motivated freelance American Sign Language interpreters for in-person assignments in or around New York, NY.
We offer $40-$75 per hour with a 2-hour minimum, negiotable based on certifications, qualifications, and experience. Payments are made within 15 days of assignment compleition.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation services between American Sign Language and spoken English.
- Utilize strong bilingual and communication skills to facilitate effective communication between deaf and hearing individuals.
- Collaborate with other interpreters and professionals to ensure smooth communication flow in various settings.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of interpreting experience
- Fluency in ASL and spoken English
- Good understanding of Deaf culture
