Job Description
Responsibilities
- Import Documentation Management
- Prepare, review, and manage import shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (B/L),
Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Arrival Notices, and other import-related documentation.
- Verify document accuracy and ensure compliance with import regulations and company procedures.
- Import Operations Coordination
- Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth import operations.
- Monitor shipment schedules and cargo status from origin to final delivery.
- Support customs clearance by preparing and submitting required documentation.
- Customer & Partner Communication
- Communicate with customers, overseas partners, and service providers regarding shipment status, documentation, and operational issues.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve day-to-day operational matters.
- Data & Operations Management
- Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data in internal systems.
- Prepare operational reports and ensure proper filing of import documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of import operational processes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in import operations, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- Core Competencies
- Experience handling import shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
- Basic understanding of import customs clearance procedures and international trade documentation.
- Familiarity with international shipping processes and logistics operations.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Incoterms, international trade, and global supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Preferred Skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams.
- Business English proficiency for email communication and documentation.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in logistics, international trade, or customs are a plus.
