**Job description: Catonese Chinese Simultaneous –English Interpreter** **Duties And Responsibilities**
- Serve as interpreter for People with Limited English Proficiency for different social services settings
- Provide consecutive AND simultaneous interpretation between English and Catonese Chinese.
- Listen to complete statements in one language, translate to second, and translate responses from second into first language.
- Express either approximate or exact translation, depending on nature of occasion.
**Minimum Job Requirements**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience Interpreting settings
**Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required**
- Fluency in both the Catonese Chinese and English languages.
- Ability to read and write both languages.
- Listening skills.
