This Candidate Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, the choices available to you, and how you can contact us about your information.

This notice applies specifically to candidate accounts and professional profiles. Our general Privacy Policy may provide additional information about the use of the Language Talent Pool website and services.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Language Talent Pool, we may collect:

Account information, including your name, email address, password credentials, account status, and registration information.

Professional profile information, including languages, professional roles, skills, experience, location, professional links, work preferences, availability, and other information you choose to include in your profile.

Résumés and documents that you upload or previously provided to Language Talent Pool.

Job activity, such as jobs you apply for, save, or choose to receive alerts about.

Profile and privacy preferences, including whether you are available for work and whether your profile, contact information, or résumé may be accessible to authorized employers.

Communication preferences, including your choices regarding job-related classes and events, community communications, newsletters, and the Language Talent Job Digest.

Technical and security information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the platform and user accounts.

We ask that you not include sensitive personal information in your profile or résumé unless it is necessary for a legitimate recruiting or employment purpose.

2. Information Migrated From Previous Language Talent Pool Systems

If you previously created a Language Talent Pool account or candidate profile through a platform previously used by Language Talent Pool, information associated with that account may be migrated into the current Language Talent Pool platform.

Migrated information may include your professional profile information, résumé, account information, work-availability information, and related administrative records.

Where previous settings do not clearly establish a particular visibility or sharing preference, Language Talent Pool may apply protective default settings rather than making that information available to employers.

Candidates may review and update available profile and privacy settings after accessing their account.

3. How We Use Candidate Information

We may use candidate information to:

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, Language Talent Pool processes personal information as necessary to provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate business and recruiting interests where permitted, and based on consent where consent is required.

4. Profile Administration and Visibility

Creating an account does not necessarily make a candidate profile visible to employers.

Employer visibility depends on the candidate's privacy selections and applicable platform eligibility and access controls.

Language Talent Pool administrators may review candidate profile information and résumés for legitimate recruiting, platform-administration, security, and candidate-support purposes.

5. Employer Visibility, Contact Information, and Résumés

Profile visibility, employer contact permission, and résumé access are treated as separate permissions where those controls are available.

Your privacy settings may determine whether authorized employers can:

A private résumé is not made publicly available on the open internet.

Language Talent Pool may access candidate information internally when reasonably necessary to provide recruiting services, administer the platform, respond to candidate requests, or protect the service.

6. Communications and Marketing Choices

Creating an account does not require you to subscribe to optional marketing communications.

Choices regarding classes and events, community updates, newsletters, and the Language Talent Job Digest are separate optional preferences.

You may change available communication preferences through your account or unsubscribe using instructions provided in applicable communications.

Language Talent Pool may still send operational communications reasonably necessary to operate or secure your account, respond to your requests, or provide services you requested.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

9. Data Retention

We retain candidate information for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain your account, provide recruiting and platform services, maintain legitimate business and administrative records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security and integrity of the service.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is maintained.

Candidates may request deletion of eligible information as described below.
