Chinese–Japanese Interpreter (Contractor)

JASM is hiring an on-site Chinese–Japanese interpreter for its semiconductor manufacturing operations in Kumamoto, Japan. The interpreter will accurately convey spoken communication between Taiwanese and Japanese employees during handover meetings, conference calls, and other workplace interactions. Responsibilities also include translating documents in compliance with government regulations and company policy, clarifying Japanese terminology and definitions, organizing language data, summarizing meeting decisions in Japanese and Mandarin, preparing daily reports, and supporting related assignments.

Requirements include a bachelor degree or higher, JLPT N1-level Japanese, native-level Chinese, conversational written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and a positive working attitude. More than two years of high-technology industry experience and familiarity with Japanese workplace culture are preferred.

This is a fixed-term contractor role based at JASM in Kikuyo, Kumamoto. Standard hours are 8:30–17:30, with possible future shift or holiday work. The contract may be renewed based on performance, up to a total term of two years. Commuting and overtime allowances are provided.
