Freelance Translators & Reviewers – French

Meitu is seeking native French speakers to join its freelance localization network. This is a remote, project-based opportunity supporting the translation, review, and refinement of localized and AI-translated content.

Key responsibilities

• Proofread and refine AI-translated app strings, including buttons, dialogs, notifications, settings, banners, and toasts.
• Review product and user-interface copy for accuracy, fluency, terminology consistency, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Identify unnatural, culturally insensitive, or locally inappropriate wording.
• Translate, review, and localize marketing content, App Store listings, push notifications, in-app campaigns, and social-media content.
• Follow project terminology, style guides, and localization requirements.

Qualifications

• Native French with excellent grammar, idiomatic expression, and cultural knowledge.
• Professional English-to-French translation, proofreading, editing, localization, or linguistic-review experience.
• Digital-content localization experience involving apps, software, websites, user interfaces, or marketing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify linguistic, terminology, formatting, and cultural issues.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, AI-assisted translation, or MTPE workflows is preferred.
• Copywriting and transcreation experience is a plus.

Work is assigned according to project needs and availability, with no guaranteed minimum volume. Selection consists of résumé review followed by a practical localization test; successful candidates join Meitu's freelance linguist pool.
