Interpreter III (Spanish) - Criminal Trial Division

The First Judicial District of Pennsylvania is hiring an experienced Spanish court interpreter for its Criminal Trial Division. This is a full-time, on-site role in Philadelphia.

The interpreter provides advanced Spanish-English interpretation in open court and other departments, both in person and by telephone; translates documents, notices, pamphlets, instructions, and correspondence; maintains strict confidentiality; prepares reports; and assists with training and mentoring interpreters.

Requirements

• AOPC Certified Court Interpreter or reciprocity from another state certifying authority
• Two to four years of interpreter/translator experience in a judicial setting
• Successful criminal background clearance
• Ability to complete the panel review and interview process
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position

City residency is not required. The salary range is $98,827–$110,450; new hires begin at step 1 of the pay grade.
