Southampton Union Free School District is seeking qualified applicants to provide interpretation and translation services in support of District programs, meetings, and events. Applicants will be placed on a list as needed, based on District needs and scheduled events.
Responsibilities
- Provide interpretation services during District events and meetings.
- Provide interpretation services during Board of Education meetings, as needed.
- Support School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) meetings and related activities.
- Translate documents, communications, and messages as requested.
- Provide clear and accurate communication between the District and students, families, and community members.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling District information and communications.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Ability to accurately interpret verbal communications and translate written materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Availability to work scheduled meetings and events, which may include evening hours.
