Japanese To English Medical Linguist

The Language Doctors is seeking experienced Japanese-to-English medical translators and linguists for remote contract work and long-term collaboration. The work covers medical and life-sciences content, including patient records and medical reports.

Responsibilities

• Translate Japanese medical content into accurate, natural English using appropriate medical terminology.
• Preserve the source material’s tone and style.
• Follow the company style guide and maintain terminology consistency and data accuracy.
• Deliver completed work accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• At least five years of medical translation experience.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Broad medical vocabulary and experience using linguistic assets.
• SDL Trados experience is required.
• Ability to handle confidential medical material and meet deadlines.
