Sign Language Interpreter - VRS - Part Time - St. Augustine, Florida

Sorenson Communications is seeking a part-time American Sign Language interpreter for its St. Augustine Video Relay Service center.

Role

• Interpret accurately between American Sign Language and spoken English.
• Comply with applicable licensure and certification requirements, FCC regulations, the RID Code of Professional Conduct, and Sorenson policies.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated, customer-service environment.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and continue developing interpreting skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass Sorenson's required skills assessment.
• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Interpreter certification where required by local regulations.
• Three years of interpreting experience preferred.

The role requires at least 10 hours of interpreting service per month. Available shifts are Monday through Saturday. Pay ranges from $25 to $60 per hour depending on location, education, and certifications. See Sorenson's official posting for complete details.
